Meet Brian

Brian's journey towards becoming a natural health practitioner began in the mid-1990s. Drawn to Chinese philosophy, language and culture, he studied Mandarin in college and moved to Taiwan and China to learn more about this fascinating culture.

An asthmatic since childhood, Brian spent many years searching for ways to better his condition and eliminate his dependence on prescription drugs. Working as a musician and teaching artist in Brooklyn, NY, he learned how modifying his diet could dramatically improve health and reduce his symptoms. Initially to recover from a back injury, he immersed himself in the healing practices of Yoga and Meditation, becoming a certified RYT 200-hour Yoga Teacher. Coming full circle, he finally discovered Acupuncture, Qigong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  All of these teachings Brian passionately incorporates into his work with patients in helping them on their own road to balanced health.

Brian studied Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology at Yo San University in Los Angeles, where he graduated with Honors and served in the prestigious post-graduate Fellowship Program. He returned to China in 2018 to consult on a short documentary about Chinese Herbal Medicine for the American Association of Chinese Herbs. (Click here to view video).

In addition to English, he speaks Mandarin, Spanish and some French. When not in the clinic treating patients, Brian enjoys  playing music, spending time with friends and family, and getting out into nature.
